Adventure Mentoring
Thriving Dadless believes that hands-on experience is how people learn best! Many young folks never get the chance to try out fun and exciting things like camping, paintball, or dirt-biking because of their family situation. Often its times like these, such as when a group is gathered around an evening campfire, or while eating a sandwich on the beach after snorkeling a shipwreck, that true mentoring tends to happen. How we handle mishaps, make choices, deal with difficult situations, or overcome our fears is often the way that the grace and wisdom of The Lord is shared with those who are watching us. Not only does mentoring allow for this type of deeper teaching, but introducing the younger generation to unique adventure sports can create a lifelong passion for activities that they may have only ever dreamed of trying. Adventure Mentoring is the perfect combination of instilling a love for a unique and wonderful new activity, while also investing in a young person’s forever faith-foundation!
